Pro tools where is the record button

If you see it again it's because something has changed so please set your preferences accordingly. Pro Tools Mix : Lag when pressing record-button. I tried searching for the answer and can't dig it up so here is my quesiton. I am working with a guy running Pro Tools mix 24 and he is having an incredible lag time from when he hits record to when the 24 tracks start recording.

He is running OS 9. He has a Mac G4 with a dual processor. Not sure of the Ram but I would guess adequate. If he is recording only a few tracks the record initiate time is much faster. Any ideas. Originally Posted by jcrabbe.

It's good to split up where the tracks and send them to differnt drives so things don't clog up and slow things down. Like I said.. DAE playback buffer can be set lower. Also make sure your drives are nice and fast. I do not miss this stuff at all. Jan Folkson. For audio tracks: Off gray , Armed blinking red , Recording solid red.

For the focused track, the letter R in its Record Enable button turns red to indicate that it will be enabled together with the Record function. You can record enable multiple audio tracks, as long as each track has a unique input chosen in the Input slot. Multiple tracks that use the same input cannot be simultaneously enabled for recording. If none of the record-enabled tracks is focused, the region is recorded to the first uppermost of the tracks. For more information, see Record to multiple audio tracks in Logic Pro.
